The company Parallel reserves the right to modify these General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time. In the event of such modification, the General Terms and Conditions of Sale in force on the day of the placement of the order shall be enforceable.

 reserves the right to modify its pricelist at any time, but naturally undertakes to apply the pricelist in force on the date of the order.

The overall price given on the order confirmation may or may not include the cost of shipping, customs and excise costs and the taxes specific to the country of import.

Security

Shopping online is no longer a new phenomenon. Should you choose to pay by credit card on the site, your card details are encrypted for the transaction - making it more secure than giving your card details over the phone. We use Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL), which means using your credit card to make a purchase online with Etains du Prince should leave you with no safety fears.

There are various payment methods:

Payments are to be executed with the order:

- by bank card, through the secure system that uses the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol such that the transmitted data are encrypted by a program and no third party get knowledge of them during transit on the network. Etains du Prince sarl has no access to these data, as the payment is made to the server of our partner bank.

The buyer can pay the bill in euros or US dollars. The buyer's account will be debited instantly.

- by bank cheque in euros, drawn on a French bank only.

By Bank Card (CB, VISA, EUROCARD, MASTERCARD)

When you select on-line payment, you will be directed to the payment centre Credit Agricole. The symbols indicate that your transaction is secure. Bank data (bank card number, expiry date) are encrypted using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol, they are inaccessible to anyone other than the Payment Centre Credit Agricole

When you select payment by check, drawn on a French bank only, send your cheque made payable to Parallel by post together with the order number (this is shown in the email confirmation sent with order validation) to the following address:

Confirmation of the receipt of your payment and the processing of your order will be sent to you by email.

The company Parallel reserves the right to modify these General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time. In the event of such modification, the General Terms and Conditions of Sale in force on the day of the placement of the order shall be enforceable.

The customer fills out the order form that is presented on the website. In order to confirm the order and initiate the sale, the customer must accept, fully and without reservation, the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. These same conditions shall be the only ones applicable to the contract thus concluded.

- Order and contract

The commercial contract between the company Parallel and the customer comes into existence when the order is confirmed. The order shall be deemed to have been accepted by the company Parallel once the partner banking organisation has accepted the payment.

All order forms confirmed by means of the acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the submission of the payment data shall be deemed an irrevocable acceptance which may only be challenged within the limits set forth in these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, under the terms of the "right of withdrawal".

All commercial contracts impose obligations upon both of the contracting parties:

the obligations of the company PARALLEL: 

Insofar as the customer's order is accepted (acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale, confirmation of the order and payment accepted by the partner banking organisation), the company Parallel undertakes to deliver the products ordered to the address provided by the customer. It will provide the products ordered to the partner carrier within a period of no more than 7 days worked after the acceptance of the order.

Whether the customer's order is accepted or refused, the customer will receive confirmation thereof by e-mail only, within 24 hours worked (office opening hours) of the order being accepted or refused.

The company Parallel reserves the right to refuse an order if the products ordered are unavailable or if there is a risk that the order received or the forthcoming delivery might prove to be problematic.

the obligations of the customer: 

The customer undertakes first of all to verify that the order has been confirmed and to indicate any error there may be in the order within a period of no more than 12 hours following the placement of the order. Any complaints or claims shall be made using the e-mail address created to this effect (contact@atelierparallel.fr)

Furthermore, the customer undertakes to supply the company Parallel with an address to which the delivery may be made during the working hours of the day (during the hours worked).

Last of all, the customer undertakes to pay the given price for the service or products provided by the company Parallel. If the given price does not include shipping costs, customs and excise duties and any other import taxes that may exist in the country of delivery (paragraph 4.1), the customer undertakes to pay, upon reception of the goods, all such additional expenses to the carrier of the company Parallel.

The customer must under no circumstances sell on the products it purchases via the website of the company PARALLEL. All orders placed by a customer may only be used for his or her own personal use or for the personal use of the person on whose behalf the order was placed.

In the latter instance, the customer guarantees the acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale by the final recipient of the delivery.

4.1 - The price

The overall price indicated by the company Parallel on the order confirmation is the definitive price of the order.

Parallel reserves the right to modify its pricelist at any time, but naturally undertakes to apply the pricelist in force on the date of the order.

The overall price given on the order confirmation may or may not include the cost of transport, customs and excise costs and the taxes specific to the country of import.

4.2 - Payment

Payment of the orders shall be made in Euros and US Dollars.

Amounts given on the website in a currency other than the Euro and US Dollars are done so for purely informational purposes.

The payment of orders shall be carried out by bankcard only, by means of the server of the company Parallel 's banking partner (Crédit Agricole). This is a secure payment mode, because it means that none of the customer's banking information transits via the website of the company Parallel. The on-line payment may be made in complete safety, by entering the number of the bankcard, the date of expiry of the bankcard and the number of the visual cryptogram that is given on the back of the bankcard.

The payment is made secure by means of the encryption of the customer's credit card details using the 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. The details of the customer's bankcard never transit visibly on the bank's server. Under no circumstances does the company Parallel have access to these details, nor are they kept on its servers. If a customer visits the boutique at www.etains-prince.com and places an order on several occasions, he or she will be obliged to fill out the bank details for the bank's server each time.

The company Parallel reserves the right to refuse delivery to or to honour an order placed by a consumer with whom there exists an outstanding dispute with respect to payment.

5.1 - Method of delivery

In France 

The products shall be delivered by an express carrier (Colissimo) to the address given by the customer on the order confirmation.

Abroad 

The products shall be delivered by express carrier (MG TRANSPORT, GEODIS or Colissimo) to the address given by the customer on the order confirmation.

5.2 - Delivery lead times

The products shall be delivered within a period of between seven (7) and fourteen (14) working days as from the date of the order confirmation. The lead times given to the company Parallel by its partner carrier vary according to the country.

These average lead times are given for informational purposes on the Internet site and on the order confirmation sent to the customer. The company Parallel cannot be held liable for any overrun of the lead time given. 

5.3 - Monitoring of deliveries

Within 24 hours worked of having placed the order, the customer will receive confirmation of the order by e-mail. This e-mail contains a summary of the order as well as the number of the carriage notice, which will enable the customer to monitor the progress of the package by connecting to the website of the carrier.

 6 - Reception (exceptions, return, replacement, reimbursement)

6.1 - Reception of the package

The customer has undertaken to supply an address to which the delivery may be made during the working hours of the day (during the hours worked).

In the event that the recipient or any person able to take possession of the goods is absent at the time the package is delivered, the carrier will leave a non-delivery notice at the address given by the customer, in which the date and the hour of the attempted delivery will be stated.

Any shipment that remains undelivered after three attempts shall be sent back to the nearest offices of the partner carrier and an attempt to inform the recipient shall be made.

If the delivery address given by the customer is a private address ("residential" delivery), only one attempt to deliver shall be made subsequent to the initial delivery.

If the shipment is not delivered after three (3) delivery attempts (two (2) attempts in the case of a private address) or has been kept for five (5) working days after the date of its reception and of its customs clearance by customs in the country of delivery, it shall be considered to be undistributable and shall be returned to the company Parallel

The company Parallel cannot be held liable for any damage incurred by the products in the event of the late collection, or non-collection, of the package by the customer.

6.2 - Exceptions

The customer should check that the goods delivered comply with the order and are in good condition, before signing the delivery slip.

Such verification shall be deemed to have been performed once the customer, or a person duly authorised to do so by the customer, has signed the delivery slip.

All anomalies with respect to the delivery (damaged product, etc.) must be set out by the customer in the form of handwritten exceptions on the delivery, and signed.

These exceptions may be expressed in writing the carrier at the moment of delivery, or at the latest 12 hours after the delivery. A copy of such exceptions must be sent by e-amil exclusively to the company PARALLEL at the least 12 hours after these exceptions have been expressed in writing (     ). The customer should, along with this e-mail, have the carrier confirm to PARALLEL that such exceptions have genuinely been expressed

6.3 - Return

If the products ordered need to be returned to the company PARALLEL (non-conformity, damage, etc.), this must occur within seven days worked following the delivery. After this period, no claim will be accepted.

The products must be sent back in their original state (packaging, catalogue, etc.), failing which they may be refused.

All returns must be sent to the following address:

It is essential that the customer use the services of the company PARALLEL 's partner carrier in order to return products. This is because the carrier has contractual links with the company PARALLEL which facilitate the various operations linked to international carriage (customs, taxes, payment).

All returns must be accompanied by a copy of the invoice received when the package was received.

The cost for returns shall be borne by the company PARALLEL, except in the case of withdrawal.

The company PARALLEL undertakes to handle all goods returns within 30 worked days of receiving the return.

 7 - Liability

The customer is solely liable for the choice of products ordered for their maintenance from the moment of delivery and for the use to which they are put. All the products presented on the www;        website comply with current French legislation

PARALLEL guarantees that every possible care has been taken to offer high-quality artisanal products. In the event that the sold product is not conform, it may be returned to the seller who will take it back, exchange it or reimburse it. The buyer is responsible for the return transport costs.

PARALLEL guarantees its products, but may not be held responsible either for product selection, or for the use and maintenance of the articles. The products sold on the parallel.com website are pewter figurines:

 8 - Warranty

The company PARALLEL certifies that all the products presented on the www.atelierparallel.com website comply with current French legislation.

In the event that the sold product is not conform, it may be returned to the seller who will take it back, exchange it or reimburse it. The buyer is responsible for the return transport costs.

PARALLEL guarantees its products, but may not be held responsible either for product selection, or for the use and maintenance of the articles.

 9 - Force majeure

Neither the company Parallel, nor the customer of the company Parallel may be held liable for failure to perform the sale contract thus concluded in the event of the occurrence of a case of force majeure, beyond their control, which shall include, and which list is not exhaustive, war, riots, insurrection, interruption to carriage, import or export problems, strikes, lock-outs, shortages, fire, earthquake, storm or flood.

 10 - Right of withdrawal

In accordance with article L.121-16 of the French Code of Consumption, the consumer has a period of seven working days as from the receipt of the goods ordered in order to return any article with which he or she is unsatisfied and request that it be exchanged, without any penalty, with the exception of the cost of returning the goods.

Any such return must be signified by e-mail at the address atelierparallel.com. The number of the order must be given in order for the complaint or claim to be handled.

11 - Protection of personal data

The company PARALLEL undertakes to protect the personal data supplied by its customers. None of the customer's personal data that may be collected by the company PARALLEL shall be communicated to any third party. The customer has the right to access, modify, rectify or delete the personal data that related to him or her (Art. 34- Information Technology and Civil Liberties » Act).

In order to exercise this right, the customer must contact the company PARALLEL directly  

12 - Nullity – Applicable law – Jurisdiction

If one of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale should be declared inapplicable or null and void for any reason whatever, this nullity or inapplicability shall not affect the application or the validity of the other provisions of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are exclusively governed by French law. The courts of Pontoise (95) shall have sole jurisdiction for hearing any disputes relative to said Conditions.
